Organizing Your Calendar with Rental Categories

If your dealership has a large fleet, looking at a single calendar with 50 different cars can be overwhelming. This is where Rental Categories come in.

Rental Categories allow you to organize and group your vehicles in the Plan-it calendar based on the department they belong to or the purpose they serve.

You can see your Rental categories in your Dashboard.

Examples of Rental Categories

Instead of mixing all your cars together, you can create categories such as:

• Mechanical Workshop: Loaner cars reserved specifically for customers whose cars are in for mechanical service.

• Sheet Metal / Body Shop: Cars dedicated to customers with long-term collision repairs.

• Rental: Vehicles that are strictly used for short-term or long-term paid rentals.

• Sales / Demo: Cars reserved for test drives by the sales team.

How to Set Up and Manage Rental Categories

You must have Admin access to edit these settings.

1. Log in to the CarBuddii Dashboard.

2. Navigate to Settings > Business.

3. Scroll down to the Rental Categories section.

4. Here, you will see a table where you can add new category names.

5. Reordering: You can easily change the order in which these categories appear in your Plan-it calendar by dragging and dropping them in the list.
