CarBuddii is primarily optimized and designed to streamline automotive workflows within our core markets: Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
However, we often get inquiries from dealerships and rental businesses in overseas territories—such as the Faroe Islands or Greenland—asking if they can use our platform.
The short answer is: Yes, you are more than welcome to use CarBuddii! We already have active customers operating in these regions. However, because our automated systems are tied to specific mainland registries, there are a few technical limitations you should be aware of before getting started.
The Main Limitation: Automated Data Lookups
A core feature of the CarBuddii mobile app is its ability to automatically fetch a customer's full name and address using their Social Security Number (SSN / CPR).
Currently, this automatic lookup feature only works within Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Even for territories within the Kingdom of Denmark, such as the Faroe Islands or Greenland, local governments use their own independent civil registry systems. Because CarBuddii is not integrated with these overseas databases, the app cannot automatically pull customer data based on an SSN or driver's license scan in those regions.
What This Means for Your Workflow
If you choose to use CarBuddii in an unsupported region, your daily workflow will require a bit more manual input:
Manual Customer Entry: When creating a test drive agreement or rental contract, your staff will need to manually type in the customer's name, address, and contact details instead of relying on the automatic scanner.
Consent & Legalities: You will still be able to collect digital signatures, but it is your responsibility as the Data Controller to ensure that our standard digital consent forms and "reckless driving" declarations (if applicable) align with your local territory's specific laws.
What Still Works Perfectly?
Aside from the automated data lookup, the rest of the CarBuddii ecosystem functions exactly as intended! Customers outside our core regions can still take full advantage of:

The Garage: Keep a digital inventory of your vehicles, track mileage, and set expiration limits.
Lead Management: Use the web dashboard to track sales pipelines, monitor conversions, and organize daily follow-up tasks.
Settlements & Invoicing: Easily track ongoing and completed rentals to ensure your accounting team bills every customer accurately.
If your dealership is comfortable with manually entering customer details, CarBuddii can still be a powerful tool to digitize your fleet management and sales pipeline, regardless of where you are located.
