In Carbuddii and when using our Dashboard and/or mobile app, user access is broken down into three primary permission levels: Light, Normal, and Admin.
Carbuddii User Roles & Permissions
1. Admin (i.e. Management & Dealership Owners)
The Admin role provides full, unrestricted access to our ecosystem. This role is designed for general managers, dealership owners, and IT administrators who need to oversee the entire operation and manage backend settings.
Key Permissions:
Organizational Oversight: Can view the sales pipeline, conversion rates, and performance analytics for the entire dealer group or across multiple branches.
User Management: Ability to create new users, assign roles (Light or Normal), and deactivate accounts when staff members leave.
Integrations & System Settings: Exclusive access to the Integrations/Settings tab on
app.carbuddii.comto manage API keys and bearer tokens for third-party systems (like Weply, e-conomic, FTZplus, or MitID).Fleet Management: Can add or remove vehicles from the digital inventory and set pricing/rules for the rental calendar.
2. Normal (i.e. Sales Staff)
The Normal role is the standard profile for day-to-day sales and rental agents. It provides all the tools necessary to interact with customers, manage leads, and generate contracts, but restricts access to overarching system settings or sensitive business data.
Key Permissions:
Pipeline Management: Can view, edit, and move leads through the sales funnel on the dealer dashboard.
Mobile App Access: Full use of the Carbuddii mobile app to scan driver's licenses, capture GDPR consent, and generate test drive or rental contracts.
Task Management: Can receive new lead notifications, set follow-up tasks, and manage their own daily calendar.
Data Visibility: Typically restricted to viewing their own leads, tasks, and customers, rather than the entire organization's data (unless a lead is explicitly delegated to them).
3. Light (i.e. Support Staff / Reception)
The Light role is a restricted access tier. It is usually assigned to lot attendants, receptionists, or part-time staff who need to perform specific, limited actions without having access to the broader sales strategy.
Key Permissions:
Basic App Functions: Can use the mobile app to handle vehicle handovers (e.g., checking a loaner car in or out) or facilitate basic test drive agreements.
Restricted Pipeline Access: Cannot view financial reporting, organizational conversion data, or the full lead pipeline.
Data Security: Helps dealerships ensure that staff members who do not need access to sensitive customer data are restricted from seeing it.
